Important Update: Our Beloved Truck

5/14 Update:

Hope you had an amazing Mother’s Day weekend everyone!

Over the past week God has used you (via FB giving) and others who gave offline to bring in nearly $20,379 in funds (51% there!) to replace the stolen gear; as well as receiving donations from local companies/churches of SEA Kids supplies, and a cargo van for temporary storage! We have had neighbors in Montlake offer their unused garages, and so many more people still planning to engage.

We are truly blown away by the goodness of God and wanted to give you our sincere thanks/gratitude for being a part of this effort, we will ensure that every penny will go towards building the community of SEA church!

Early on Sunday morning, May 6th, we discovered that our trusty truck was not where we left it last (Madrona Neighborhood). It held all the equipment that allow us to run the programs that host this amazing SEA Church community each Sunday (sound equipment, coffee supplies, SEA Kids materials, etc).

While the search for the truck goes on, an amazing group of people will still gather together each Sunday, in community, to share life and praise God. That will continue to be the core of what SEA Church is.

We want to thank the Seattle Police Department as well as KIRO 7 for their help and kindness.

Please visit Kiro7.com to see an article about the experience and how you can help!

If you have information regarding our truck, please contact the Seattle Police Department or email us us at info@seachurch.com.

Our Story

Aaron and Rachel Young

You can’t pass by Aaron and Rachel without having felt their deep love and affection for each other and for others. Known to be the most devoted of friends and gracious hosts even to strangers, the two of them, individually and collectively, are uplifting to all who enter their world.

Our founding pastors have been married for 12 years, having met in Australia during their theological studies at Hillsong College. After completing their studies, they have had the privilege of serving the local church in Australia, Eastern Europe, and Seattle, Washington.

Most recently, they completed a season back in Australia serving as Campus Pastors under Pastors Mark and Darlene Zschech of Hope Unlimited Church. During that time, they received confirmation of the dream to move back home to Seattle to launch a new expression of the local Church.

With 15 years of ministry experience and a big heart for Seattle, Aaron and Rachel are stepping out in faith with an ease and assuredness to what God has called them to do… launch and build SEA Church!
